Pavilion Project
Overwhelming Support for Pavilion Project
The Pavilion Project received the support of 94% of the votes cast at the Special General Meeting on Saturday. With 39 voting members present in person and a further 30 by proxy, this was a great turn out for this important vote. The Project Committee will convene quickly and proceed with the project.
Members should watch the Pavilion Project section of the website for regular updates and photos once construction is underway.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the meeting. The discussion and questions will be noted in the minutes. Special thank you to the Pavilion Project Committee for their work to date and an advance thanks for the time and work to come.
The History:
The Bridge has approved a Special General Meeting to be held on January 21, 2012 at 1600 hrs at the LE Shore Memorial Library seeking member approval to proceed with the pavilion project as presented by the Pavilion Project Committee. The official notice is being mailed out to all voting members and all related documentation will be posted at this section of the TYC web site.
The Pavilion Project Committee listened to the feedback from members, reviewed the project and have made a few substantial changes which they believe will enhance the project and be more appealing to members. The details of the proposed pavilion are detailed in the revised Q&A as well as the letter from the Commodore that accompanies the Notice of the SGM.
Members are encouraged to forward any additional questions to any member of the Bridge or the Capital Project Committee. Please mark Saturday January 21st on your calendar and attend the meeting or send in their proxy.

The following documents are background that contributed to the current plan, however do note that the current plan calls for an 80' concrete pad with a 60' pavilion structure and not the original 90' concrete pad with a 90' pavilion structure.
